INNOVATIVE PACKAGING
Research & Development
Our Research & Development Team works closely with customers, sales and manufacturing to develop advanced processes in packaging design. Our expert knowledge of the thermoforming process provides a smooth transition from conception to production. Using advanced 3D imaging software, you can view your concept on screen before it ever goes to prototype.
Prototypes can then be developed within a quick time frame, utilizing in-house 3D printing and thermoforming capabilities. While most manufacturers typically take up to six weeks to develop and build a prototype, the use of our localized R&D equipment provide us the capability of creating a working prototype within one week of an approved design.
RECYCLED MATERIAL
Extrusion
Quality thermoformed packaging begins with high quality “sheet”. Highland uses a patented large barrel extrusion capacity and filtration systems technology complete with on-line thickness control systems. All Highland extrusion capacity is capable of processing 100% recycled material. Computer monitoring ensures conformance to exacting standards and process controls.
SPEED & PRECISION
Thermoforming
Highland’s thermoformers deliver high-output and high-tonnage parts with fast, powerful and precise servo drives whose rotary action creates more power than conventional straight-action hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Our advanced thermoformers are controlled through the newest Process Control Systems, providing machine and motion control as well as precise and consistent repeatability and continuous diagnostics. Highland incorporates quick change technology to provide our customers with product when they need it.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Quality Control
Quality and process control systems incorporate a wide variety of specially designed testing check points to quantify unique performance parameters. Continuous monitoring of incoming raw materials as well as in-process and finished goods ensure conformance to industry requirements and standards.
Automated material handling systems are used throughout Highland’s manufacturing processes to provide real-time inventory control, minimize material handling damage and optimize labor.
Improving Food Safety Practices
NSF Statement of Completed Audit
Highland Packaging Solutions has participated in a NSF Food Safety Supplier audit to assist their organization in evaluating and identifying ways to manage and further improve their Food Safety Practices and Responsibilities. It is now incumbent upon the organization to implement and sustain any suggested improvements. A copy of the NSF Statement of Completed Audit is available to download.
